FTX Pushes Forward in the U.S. Market with New Headquarters in Chicago

RAMA38.MY.ID -FTX, one of the world’s foremost cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced plans to expand its presence in the United States with the opening of a new headquarters and trading floor in Chicago this month. 

The move comes on the heels of the company’s expansion into South America, where FTX first launched an office in Sao Paulo, Brazil earlier this year and more recently opened another facility in Santiago, Chile. 

The company also plans to open offices in Mexico City and Bogota in 2018, bringing its total number of locations to seven around the world.

Why FTX Opened its United States HQ in Chicago

Chicago is a hub for innovation and growth, making it an ideal location for FTX to expand its operations and meet the needs of US customers.

To celebrate this milestone, FTX hosted an event at the Willis Tower on July 27th where CEO Kevin Zhang announced plans for new additions and expansions that are set to take place over the next five years.

A press release issued by the president of FTX on Monday announced that they will be establishing their North American headquarters in Chicago, IL. 

This new office will create over 500 jobs over the next five years and offer internships to students from around Illinois. 

The founder of the firm says that he is excited about coming back home and bringing his business back to his roots. 

The city of Chicago's economic development commissioner spoke about how thrilled she was to see another startup bring new life into the city. 

She also said how much she is looking forward to working with FTX and how confident she is that it will do very well in its new location. 

CEO Stan Pulaski had this to say: We could not be more pleased to finally establish our North American headquarters in Chicago, where I grew up and learned what hard work looks like. The talent pool in this area is vast and we hope to provide many people with good-paying jobs. 

A spokesperson from Mayor Emanuel's office noted that he was happy to welcome FTX to Chicago. We're honored that FTX selected Chicago, said the spokesperson, and we know they'll find success here.
